Ugandan artists are soon clocking two years without setting foot on stage following the presidential directive in March 2020 to have all entertainment centers and concerts closed as a way to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
However, some artists have been performing upcountry, with the most recent controversial incident being Spice Diana’s performance in Fort Portal a fortnight ago.
On Wednesday night, Sheebah was performing at Mbarara’s Vision Empire, and she was intercepted by police as she made her way out of the club after her performance.
The matter was, however, later resolved, and she went to her hotel.
Our efforts to reach police officials in Mbarara for a comment about the incident were futile by press time.
